Al-Koni asks the government to respond to teachers' demands

Presidential Council member Musa Al-Koni asked the government to respond to teachers' demands, stating that it should have remained in session until its concerns were addressed.

In a post on X on Monday, Al-Koni described the government's failure to respond to the demands as "sad", while Libya marked World Teachers' Day.

He said that the occasion was a moment for the world to honor teachers, noting that UNESCO dedicated this year's theme to improving teachers' conditions and supporting them.

Teachers continued to carry out protests and other actions in Libya, demanding better working and financial conditions, payment of outstanding debts, health insurance, and implementation of legislation protecting their rights.
